First up for The Mix is Danny From Miami ?
The Floridian figurehead takes us on a trip through Miami dance music history, diving into the irregular rhythms he grew up with and nodding to the new wave of flag-bearers. It also features an in-depth interview with @arantgalbert, exploring Danny Daze’s journey from childhood DJing to time in prison to rising up as Miami’s favourite “fun uncle”, and the first explanation of the concept behind his long-awaited debut album ‘::BLUE::’.
“With this mix, my intention is to show a side of the IDM world I grew up with, steering away from the misconception that IDM is chaotic kitchen utensil-like sounds. I wanted to show a softer side focused on “danceable IDM” and electro. Music you can still bop your head to,” he says.
