The COVID-19 pandemic poses an existential threat to live events and clubbing. While it’s possible to envision concerts in a socially distanced era, what do restrictions mean for durational club events where mingling, bodies and close contact are key? If club events are again taking place in certain countries – both legally and unofficially – what guidelines need to be enforced to mitigate risk? And has the pandemic created any upsides for the events industry?
