The Chilean DJ and recording artist Paula Tape is making waves with her mixes of airy Balearic and energetic synth house. Starting off as a drummer for a number of bands, her love for polyrhythm spiralled into the varied percussion present in her sets and her own productions.
The Milan-based producer’s debut EP ‘Agua Congas’ was widely supported, and she’s now released music on Rhythm Section and Permanent Vacation, and lent her hand to a label Tempo Dischi, dedicated to reissuing rare Italian records. Join us for for a percussion-heavy house set in The Lab this week.
