Founded in 1999, Defected Records has been a dance music mainstay, consistently delivering releases from some of house music’s most respected and innovative artists. Run by Simon Dunmore, early releases on the London label came from the likes of Bob Sinclar and Mr G while the last few years have provided a home for Tensnake’s inimitable 2010 hit ‘Coma Cat’ and the remix vinyl of Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’.
This Friday we welcome the likes of Osunlade, Guti, Noir, Simon Dunmore, Sonny Fodera and Sam Divine to our latest Mixmag Live. Come 00.30 UK time you’ll be able to live stream Osunlade’s set in its entirety. Yoruba Records owner Osunlade has been a member of the Defected family since remixing Reel People’s ‘In The Sun’ in 2006. He has three big album releases this year, spanning a rich range of vibes: a soul-funk vinyl-only album, ‘Peacock’, an ambient electronic project and a new mix CD ‘Atonement’.
