The Lab Los Angeles is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective’s weekly post-work unwind where we stream only the finest American and international DJs, live and direct from our Downtown LA office. This Friday we welcome Mexico’s finest Louie Fresco and LA’s house music scene-queen DJ Whitney Fierce.
No. 19 Music regular, MEXA Records founder and one of Mexicali’s premiere house and techno artists, you could say Louie Fresco is doing quite well in the game. His remixes and originals come highly rated such as his remix of Lee Foss’ track ‘Cold As Ice’, which remained at number one on the Beatport charts for over three weeks; and the don MK has recently thrown his own spin on one of Louie’s releases. He’s currently on tour and will be getting down at Minimal Effort’s New Year’s Eve party alognside, Whitney Fierce, J.Phlip, Danny Daze, Jimmy Edgar and more.
Also hitting the decks on Friday is LA-based singer, DJ and touring member of Hercules and Love Affair, Whitney Fierce. She got her start in NYC before joining Hercules, and after a long successful run, she settled in LA to return to the DJ game. She’s an undeniable favorite on the scene who spins only the most danceable of house tunes. She’s no stranger to the studio, where she spends time both producing and doing vocals, collaborating with a handful of other esteemed artists. Whitney also has a strong involvement with the imprint RIS Lab (Rock It Science Laboratories), as one of the label’s premiere artists.
The Smirnoff Sound Collective is all about bringing fans closer to the DJs, providing up and coming talent with a solid platform and throwing unique events where fans and artists can party together.
