On Thursday 22nd April, Jonas Rathsman will be releasing the 50th Episode of the ELEMENTS Mix Series on Earth Day, in collaboration with Beatport & One Tree Planted.
A lot has changed since the launch of ELEMENTS. ELEMENTS was launched by Rathsman almost four years ago and a big part of the vision was to bring music and nature closer together.
For the location of this Earth Day stream, he went back to the forest where it all started – to his hometown of Arvika in Sweden, where he spent his early years.
As he explains, “I’ve always felt that the human relationship with nature is like any relationship, for it to work we need to give something back to maintain it’s balance. It’s now more clear than ever that we have been taking nature for granted and as a result the climate crisis grows more serious each day. Playing music amongst the trees I once played in 35 years ago felt really special, like I had reconnected with what was important to me. The work I have been doing with One Tree Planted to plant trees in conversation areas across the world has given me fulfilment over the last year, and it is my way of contributing to a better planet for my children and future generations.”
