In this tutorial our instructor Boris shows you how to synthesize kick drums using only Ableton’s native Operator synthesizer. We’re going to go over why synthesizing drums is so awesome, the basics of FM synthesis in Operator and the basic elements of a kick drum. Then we’ll design the kick’s fundamental part and the transient. We’ll top it off with some audio effects and Instrument Rack mappings.
