Four years ago Amine Edge & Dance were too skint to afford proper meals. Two years ago they played their first gig together. Now they’re taking over dancefloors from Miami to London to Ibiza with their self-styled brand of G house.
Teenage friends from Marseille, France, they’ve become affiliated with Noir, Rekids and Exploited over the last few years and even started their own label, called Cuff.
The reason why their profile (and riches) have risen so quickly is because their swaggering, filthy-dirty house is damn infectious and sounds as good on a terrace as it does inside a warehouse. Ghetto vocal calls are dropped into steely drum programming and booming basslines bound all over the shop — Amine Edge & Dance is basically the aural equivalent of a saucy pelvic thrust.
As they prepare to take control of the summer, they’ve turned in an exclusive In Session mix for us. It’s full to the brim with tech-y rollers and insatiable booty jams. Enjoy.
Amine Edge & Dance play We Are FSTVL on May 24-25.
