There are moments when two artists that you wouldn’t normally picture together combine and it works perfectly. Surgeon and Lady Starlight’s unlikely duo is one of those rare occurences.
Surgeon with his distinct brand of industrial techno, with a sprinkling of funk, swing, and dub-space, has been proving for years that hard can also be smart, sensuous, and danceable.
Coming from a distinctly different background, Lady Starlight has recently made the transition from killer heavy metal sets to spicing up world tours for mega-star Lady Gaga with her unique style of techno and 70’s glam.
It was at one of these shows where the unlikely combination was formed between the two, Surgeon having been caught off guard by Lady Starlight’s authentic techno set when attending the show with his wife. Even more surprising was Lady Starlight’s shout out to the techno legend as she left the stage – eventually leading to the unlikely duo combining forces to both confuse and delight fans on a series of live sets.
Needless to say, this is a moment not to be missed.
